About LIVEEN

Where we are, where we are going, and who we are.

LIVEEN is at the beginning. We would rather tell you that plainly than pretend otherwise, and we will update this page as things move.

Where we are

An early start, built deliberately.

  1. Done

    Foundations

Our purpose, approach and values are defined.

We have chosen the markets we will look at: Spain's main cities and the emerging cities of the north.

  2. Now

    Looking and building

We are assessing markets and potential sites in Spain.

We are building our network of local and international partners.

Four-storey apartment buildings with timber screens and balconies face a shared lawn with trees and Mediterranean planting.

Where we are going

Direction, not promises.

These are the things we aim for. We will tell you how we are doing against them.

  • Do a first project well. One good project matters more to us than many fast ones.
  • Build a trusted network. Local specialists on the ground, and international partners and investors who share our standards.
  • Grow city by city. We want to add places only when we can keep our standards in each one.

How we plan to measure ourselves is on How we work.

Who we are

The person behind LIVEEN.

I'm Claus, the person behind LIVEEN.

I'm Danish, and a builder, an engineer and a developer by nature. I have worked on very large construction and infrastructure projects, across developing, designing, planning and execution, and in managing international programmes across countries and partners. I now live in Spain.

I started LIVEEN because Spain needs more good housing, and it needs better homes, for people and nature alike. I want to help build them, together with people who know each place better than I do.

How we behave

Three habits.

  • We say what we do. And we do what we say.
  • We give our reasons. Our choices should be ones we can explain.
  • We keep aims apart from results. An aim is not a result until it has been shown.
